Trenton - John Wellesley Tupper, Dec. 15, 1931 - Aug. 30, 2016. John was loved by and dearly loved his wife, family and friends. Fondly known as Butch, he enjoyed fixing old cars, fishing, regular walks, was an avid traveler, and a machinist by trade. Most of all he loved God, fellowship and spending time with people. The son of Arthur Westley and Elizabeth (Spears) Tupper, he was predeceased by his brother Lloyd. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn Ruth (Ledbury) Tupper, and his brother Fred. John is also survived by his seven children: Debra (Smudgie), Cathy, Daniel (Sandra), Virginia (Calvin), Donald (Nicole), Alexander (Rachel), Barbara (Aulden); grandchildren: Chris, Becky, Adam, Keely, Westley, Ryan, Danielle, Taylor, Kennedy, Christa, Caleb, Caitlyn, Dareinne, Lindsay, Esther, Justin, Anthony, Kristin, Danae, Taylor; great-grandchildren: Thomas, Adria, Morgan, Carter, Mikeala, Ethan, Jack, Seth, Margo, Gabriel, Zachary, Cole, Ethan, Paxton, Hudson, Emmerson, Asher-Levi, Rachel and Rivkah. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral service 11 am Friday in New Life Pentecostal Church, Stellarton, with Pastor Johnathan Cole officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Pictou County Food Bank, Canadian Cancer Society or Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
