The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, September 23, 2016 of George Michael Prowse (Master Warrant Officer, Ret.) of Charlottetown, age 58 years. Beloved partner of Mary Catherine Thomson (nee MacDonald). Loving step father of Ashley Tuplin (Nick), James Thomson (Valerie) and David Thomson. Loving poppy to Cameron, Liam and Elise Tuplin. Mike is survived by brother Blair Prowse (Debbie) as well as nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his father Joseph, mother Clara (nee Gauthier), and brothers Louis and Larry. Resting at Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Wednesday afternoon, then transferred to St. Dunstan's Basilica for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Charlottetown Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a veteran’s tribute service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. If so desired, donations in memory of Mike may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
