It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfreda Anderson (nee Blanchard) announces her passing on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Hers was a life well lived: full of family and friends from near and far. She passed peacefully at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook at the age of 85 while surrounded by loving family. Pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years, Capt. S. Kirk Anderson, and leaving to mourn a large group of family and life long friends. In particular her children: C. Scott Anderson (Daphne Nolan-Anderson), Ralph Anderson, Kirk Anderson Jr. (Jennifer Anderson), and Nancy Anderson (Doug Forbes). Her grandchildren: Annie Davidge (Brad), Samuel Anderson (Jennifer), Jillian Anderson, Robert Anderson, Amelia Anderson (Aaron), Lavalee Forbes, and Mac Kirk Forbes. As well as great grandchildren Morgan and Liam Davidge. Family and friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Curling Memorial United Church, Curling Street with Rev. Wendy Lowden officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
