It is with great sadness that the family of Robin Lynn Hurley age 63 of Amherst announce her passing on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Sackville, NB she was a daughter of the late Charles William Edward and Jean Louise (Estabrooks) Dixon.
Robin worked as a cook at Bird’s Restaurant, Highland View Regional Hospital and White Birches Retirement Home. She enjoyed traveling with her husband as he was a trucker with JW Baughns Trucking for many years.
Robin will be sadly missed by her children Grant James (Tracey) Hurley and Jean Louise Hurley both of Amherst, grandchildren Haley Abigail Hurley, Maddison Skye Hurley, Declan Cole Hurley, Destiny Dawn Marie Landry, Justin Riley Allen and Hunter Rayne Landry, sisters Doris Dawn (Eugene) Smith of Nappan and Susan Kim (Carol) Estabrooks of Vancouver, BC and brother Charles Dean Dixon of British Columbia and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Robin was predeceased by her husband Grant Stanley Hurley and son Charles William Hurley and sister Bonnie Jean Delaney.
There will be a celebration of Robin’s life on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the River Hebert Legion, River Hebert, NS.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS (902-667-9906)
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Robin’s memory may be made to the IWK Hospital, Halifax.
