Passed peacefully away after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the L.A. Miller Centre surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Teresa and Hebert; brother Joey; brother-in-law James; mother and father-in-law Elizabeth and James Kearsey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving partner and friend for 41 years Deborah Kearsey; his sons Rodney (Vicki), Nicholas (Michelle), their mother Theresa, Chad (Nana Yamdee); his loving grandchildren whom he cherished with all his heart Marissa, Nicholas, Tiana, Ella and her little brother Gage, their mom Lisa Cornick; brothers Paul (Angela), Bobby, Freddy (Peggy), Gerald, Gordie (Doreen), Kenny (Elaine) and Warren (Natasha); sisters Patsy (Harry), Mary (Andy), Loretta (Daryll), Shirley (Wayne), Louise (Gerald) and Judy (Billy); brothers-in-law Wally (Carol), Rick, (Bev), Frank (Patricia), Ed (Elaine), Tony (Michelle), Rodney (Karen); sisters-in-law Von Jackson, Patricia Martin (Brian) and Linda Ryall (Jim) and his two feline buddies Smokey and Copper. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to numerous to mention, especially his buddies at the Mews Centre, who will miss him dearly. Special thank you to Dr. Rourke and Dr. Babak and the staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation and Dr. Eaton and staff at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, and to his community health nurse Kelly Budden, your care and compassion will never be forgotten. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Outer Cove. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Outer Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
