Lillico, John Reid

Reid passed away suddenly at his home in St.Albert on Friday, November 25, 2016, at 65 years of age. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Charleen Currie; sons, Angus Lillico of Edmonton, and Alastair Lillico of Toronto, ON; brother, Richard Lillico of Saskatoon; sister, Jane Lillico of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico; mother-in-law Patricia Currie and sister-in-law Sheila Currie of Sarnia, ON and many relatives and close friends. Reid was predeceased by his parents, Eileen and John Lillico of Prince Albert, SK; and father-in-law, Lorne Currie of Sarnia, ON. Reid was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan then spent nearly 40 years in Prince Albert, SK many in the general insurance business with his father. In 1990, Reid, Charleen with their boys relocated to St.Albert, AB. Reid continued in the insurance business and specialized in risk management and business consulting. He also volunteered generously (like his mother Eileen had) particularly with: the St.Albert Business Development Centre, the St.Albert Rotary Club, the St. Albert Elks Club, the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation, St.Albert Victims Services, St.Albert Affordable Housing Association and the St.Albert constituency Progressive Conservative Board. His latest volunteer interest was the Christmas kettle drive by the Salvation Army in St. Albert. Reid loved watching rugby games and supported St.Albert’s rugby club. He loved anything Scottish particularly events celebrating Robbie Burns. Charleen and Reid have just returned in October from a luxury tour of Scotland celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary and both their 65th birthdays. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St.Albert.
