Mary "Lila" McInnis (nee McGrath)
The sweetest wife and mother there ever was passed away peacefully at the Garden Home, Charlottetown on Thursday, May 17, 2012.
Lila was born in Morell on October 26, 1924, in a simpler time. She was raised by loving parents who instilled in her the importance of family values, truth, honesty, integrity, loyalty, compassion and hard work — all of which she held throughout her life. Lila was a warm, caring, loyal and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. All our lives have been profoundly affected by her influence. We are filled with gratitude to have been so fortunate to belong to her. We will forever keep her in our hearts and pay homage to her by living out our lives true to the values and love that she instilled in us.
Lila was the beloved wife of Ronnie McInnis. Dear mother of Beverly Mednick (Leo) and Kenny McInnis. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sean and Jessica, by her special nieces Cookie McDonald and Clara Lawton and by numerous other nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law of Mae Grant and Lyman McInnis (Anne).
Predeceased by her parents William and Clara (Connolly) McGrath, by her sister Clarice Mooney (Dr. Kenny), by her brothers Jack McGrath (Nora), Joe McGrath, Billy McGrath (Olive), by her brothers-in-law Joey McInnis (Joan), Art McInnis ( Betty), Eric Grant and sisters-in-law Ethel MacDonald (Barney) and Edith MacEwen (Doug).
