It is with great sadness that the family of Freda G. Gallant age 85 of Amherst announce her passing on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at home.
Born in Kingman, Alberta she was a daughter of the late Gerhardt and Anna (Wall) Heidebrecht.
Freda was a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking.
She is survived by her husband Lloyd, one son Garry (Joy) Drisdelle of Huntington Beach, California, grandchildren Nicole, Justin and Rachel, two sisters Anne (Jack) Penner of Colorado, USA and Mary (Joe) Falk of Vancouver, BC and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Freda was predeceased by brothers Peter, George, Abraham and John.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Open Bible Baptist Church, Amherst.
A celebration of Freda's life will be held in the fall at a date to be announced.
