It is with deep sorrow, that we announce the passing of James A. McLean, on Aug., 20, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, Jan. 8, 1929. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Rose McLean (Sydney); a sister, Audrey, in infancy; two sisters, Muriel Mclean and Phyllis Ferguson and son-in-law, Michael MacKinnon.
Survived by his wife, Catherine (Kaye) McLean and children, Ernie (Cathy) McLean, Ann MacKinnon, Cathy (Donald) Wichinshi and Robert McLean, all of Sydney; brothers, Wilfred (Frances) and Gordon McLean also sister, Eileen Ramsay; grandchildren, Joseph (Cyndi) and Paul (Tasia) McLean, Aaron and RJ Leaman and Amanda (Isaac) Gomez; great-grandchildren, Logan and Tanner McLean, Estrella and Isaac Gomez and many nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A memorial service for James will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 36 Quilty Dr., North Sydney, at 2 p.m., with a luncheon to follow.
