Suddenly at his late residence, on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, of Phillip John “Pip” Kinch of Northport, age 88 years. Born at Northport, on July 4, 1926, he was the son of the late Michael and Bessie (nee Dunn) Kinch. Dear father to: Bob of Northport, Michael (Jacinta) of South Kildare, Gerry (Leah) of St. Felix, Roland (Linda) of Gard Road, Wally (Norma) of Edmonton, Alberta, and Bradley (Eileen) of Alberton. He is survived by 12 grandchildren and by 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Michael T. Kinch of Alberton, and sisters Edith MacDonnell of Halifax, N.S., and Vivian Lumby of Mississauga, Ont. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary, on Feb. 19, 2014, his daughter, Kaye Flynn, and by siblings, George, James, Graham, Raymond, Margaret Cheverie, Florence Millman, Jean Rose, Blanche St. Pierre, Kay Wayne, Vivian and Michael in infancy. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday morning with funeral mass at the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
