James 'Jim' William Payne Bennett

We the family regret to announce the sudden passing of James, loving husband, father, poppy and brother after suffering a massive heart attack on March 25, 2015, in Glace Bay.
James was born Dec. 2, 1949.
He was a pipefitter by trade and a retired member of Local 682 Plumber and Pipefitters, Sydney. An avid reader, Jim enjoyed history and was looking forward to the coming fishing season and his summer visit from Kinsley.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lynn Graham of 45 years; daughters, Aleacia (Paul) Leblanc, Fredericton, N.B. and Jade (Adam) Harrold of Beijing, China; beloved granddaughter, Kinsley Harrold; mother-in-law, Venola Graham. James also leaves behind sisters, Joan (Allan) MacKenzie, Glace Bay, June (Tom) Bell, Thedford, Ont. and Florence (Reggie) LeRoux, Glace Bay; sister-in-law, Mary and brother-in-law and best friend, Donnie MacDonald as well as several nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Dan MacDonald.
James was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Agnes Bennett, sisters, Emily and Heather.
Visitation for Jim will be held on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.
Funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1 p.m.
