Lois Ruelland of New Waterford passed away peacefully with her family at her side on April 29, 2015.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine George of New Victoria.
She is survived by her husband, Albert, New Waterford; daughters, Courtney (Jon), Ottawa, and Lucinda (Joe), New Waterford; grandchildren, Madison and Colin; brother Leonard (Debbie), Sackville and sister Ann Norene (Edward), Victoria Mines.
Lois enjoyed reading, playing Facebook games, cards, and the company of her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Catherine, brother Terrence, in-laws George and Sis and brother-in-law Robert. She will be greatly missed by her former co-workers at Simeon's and Maple Hill Manor; and her special friends, Lily and Otis. There will be no visitation, as cremation has already taken place as per her wishes. Family and friends are invited to attend the internment at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. June 14. A gathering will follow at the residence of her sister at 179 Kilkenny Lake Rd.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre in Lois's memory.
