Charles "Charlie" John MacLeod (69) of Halifax passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on February 11, 2016, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Northam, PEI, on April 27, 1946, beloved husband of Sylvia Elizabeth (Noye) MacLeod, son of the late Wallace and Deborah (Pauptit) MacLeod. Charlie enjoyed the outdoors, playing guitar, sports and painting, and loved his family dearly. Father to Kimberly (Rod) Doane, Brookside, NS, and Debbie (Jamie) Saulnier, Sackville, NS, and loving grandfather to Alexandra, Logan and Craig. Cherished uncle to many, especially Carol Hutchinson, Bedford, and Kelly (Bruce) Ross, Sackville. Charlie is survived by brother Herman (Roma), Summerside, sister Julia (Clare) Dennis, Port Dover, ON, and brother Victor (Audrey), Northam; half sister Sadie Ramsay, Summerside; brothers and sisters-in-law Norma Noye, Brampton; Doris Yeo, Brampton; Judy (Chester) MacCaull, Burlington, ON; Lillian (Gerald) Hutchinson, Halifax; Robert (Patricia), Port Hill; Marjorie (Wayne) MacDonald, Charlottetown; Linda (Jackie) Campbell, Harmony; Donna (Ronnie) MacKendrick, Birch Hill; David (Glenn) Noye, Tyne Valley; and Carol (Ross) Inman, Harmony. Predeceased by his parents, half brother Clinton MacLeod, nephews Jody MacLeod and Herman Ramsay; sisters and brothers-in-law, Roy Ramsay, Blanche MacLeod, Mildred Ramsay, Edgar Noye and Desmond Yeo. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Sunday, Feb. 14, from 2-5 p.m. Funeral will be held on Monday at Lot 14 United Church at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Lot 14 United Church Cemetery.
