Passed away from natural causes Gerald (Jed) Long, aged 60 years. Predeceased by his parents Robert (Bob) Long and Rose James, and his brother Eddie. Leaving a tonne of memories for his brother and friend Gene; loving sister Valerie Long (Geoff Parsons); special niece Rosie Long Decter and her mom Ann Decter; nephew Robert Simpson; aunt Joan James; numerous other relatives, and a large crowd of friends. Originally from Gander, Jed was a retired employee (35 years) of Air Canada who regaled family and friends with his wit, storytelling, bad impersonations, sports trivia, great harmonies and unrelenting charm. The family will accept visitors at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 from 5 - 9 p.m. A celebration of Jed's life will be held at St. Teresa's Parish Hall, Mundy Pond Rd, on Friday, June 3rd, 2016 from 7 - 9 p.m. BYOK (kazoo!).
