It is with great sadness we announce the death of Pat Harrietha, of Little Bras d’Or. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 at the Northside General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Little Bras d’Or, Cape Breton, N.S., she was the youngest daughter of the late Edward Jessome and Katherine (Cassie) MacDougall. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Little Bras d’Or.
Patricia was the heart and soul of her family; she was a devoted homemaker to her late husband, Bill and their children. She worked alongside Bill for many years with their company, Harrietha Transfer.
Patricia is survived by her loving children, Carol (Jim) Bradsley, Halifax, Nancy (David) King, Little Bras d’Or , Peter ( Colleen) Harrietha, Pond Road, David ( Susan) Harrietha, Georges River; much loved grandchildren, Evan and Luke Bradsley, Michael (Jackie), Matthew, Coady, Jennifer King, Cory ( Marie) Boudreau and Tammy ( Dave) Boudreau- Leask, Christine and Paul Harrietha; along with her great grandchildren , Marlee and Adalyn Boudreau, Matthew and Nathan Leask and Cheyenne and David King as well as siblings, Donald (Shelia) Jessome, Halifax, Barry (Delores) Jessome, Bras d’Or , Cape Breton and numerous nieces and nephews who thought the world of her.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, William; son, Paul; brothers, Gus, Sandy, Dan and Lawrence and sisters, Peggy Taylor, Lynn Hines, Josephine Merlin, Millie Brown and Claire and Agnes Jessome.
A memorial mass to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held on Thursday July 28th, 2016 at 2p.m. in St. Joseph Church Bras d’Or , with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. With Burial in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the lupus Society, Organ Donation Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
