It is with great sadness and much despair in our hearts, that we announce the sudden passing of a dear husband, father, poppy and brother, Michael Spurrell, of Fort McMurray, Alberta and formerly of Fair Haven, NL. Passed away suddenly in Calgary, Alberta on August 14, 2016, in his 48th year. Predeceased by his parents Kevin and Marjorie Spurrell, brother Paul Spurrell, and nephew Kevin Crann. Leaving to mourn his wife Maligne, son Robert, grandson Ryder, step-children Sandra, Ashley and Chase, sister Barbara Crann (Wade), niece Sophia, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from Alberta and Newfoundland, whom he cherished deeply. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Michael's life will take place in his childhood home of Fair Haven, NL. Visitation to take place at St. Paul's By the Sea United Church in Fair Haven on Thursday, August 25th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service to take place on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 3 pm, with inurnment to follow at St. Paul's By the Sea United Church Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations can be made in memory of Michael to St. Paul's By the Sea Memorial Fund or the NL Heart and Stroke Foundation.
