Passed peacefully away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. William Joseph Burke, of Mount Pearl, aged 71 years. Predeceased by parents William and Lillian (nee Heath) and brother Fred (Alice). He leaves to mourn his daughter Paula (Bill), son Barry (Gina), precious grandchildren William, Sophia, Emma and Kieran, his devoted and special friend Mary Reddy, whom spend almost every day with him in Pleasantview Towers, his siblings Norbert Burke (Carol), Patricia Shepherd (Lloyd), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wish to thank the staff of 1 south-east, Pleasantview Tower for their wonderful care of dad as well as the staff of ICU, St.Clare's for their kindness and care. At Williams' request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Caul's Chapel with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Alzheimer's Society or The Mental Health Society, Newfoundland.
