It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick W. Hoskins announce his passing at the L.A. Miller Centre, St. John's on Monday, December 1, 2016 at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 57 years Phyllis; son Paul (Charlotte) of Red Deer, AB; daughter Carol Moores (Stan) of St. John's, NL; his pride and joy grandson Nicholas, also a large circle of extended relatives, especially the Roberts family whom he was proud to be a part of and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Chesley and Cecilia Hoskins; and infant twin brother Stewart. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from St. Martins Anglican Cathedral on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. officiated by Reverend Brain Candow with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made in Frederick's memory to the L.A. Miller Centre of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. Fred and Phyllis loved to travel and were fortunate to see many places in the world. Fred will be remembered as a true gentleman who was kind and generous to everyone he met. He was a man who always choose to see the good in everything. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you for the support from friends and family and also to the Doctors, Nurses, Nursing staff and many volunteers at the Palliative Care Unit at the L. A.
