WESTVILLE – Mary Elizabeth Jackson, age 88, Spring Garden Road, Westville, passed away in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow on Monday, June 30, 2008. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alvina (LeBlanc) Coulet. Mrs. Jackson was a member of The Church of The Holy Name, Westville; a former member of the C.W.L. and also a former member of the Westville School Board. She was a nurse at Valley View Villa and Glen Haven Manor for several years until retirement. She enjoyed walking and meeting people along the way. She is survived by daughters, Charlene Thompson (John), Westville; Bernice Langille (Hugh), Granton; sons, Phillip (Marilyn), Black Point; Dennis, Florida; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren She is also survived by sisters, Mary Campbell and Clara Teed, New Glasgow, and Doddie MacKenzie, North Sydney; brother, John Coulet, New Glasgow and sister-in-law Sadie Coulet, New Glasgow. Mrs. Jackson was predeceased by her husband Charles; and brothers, Joseph and Paul Coulet. Visitations will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday from the Church of the Holy Name Westville. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
