JONES, WENDELL MCLEOD The death of Wendell McLeod Jones of York Manor, Fredericton, and formerly of Burtt's Corner, occurred on Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at his residence. Born in Staples Settlement, he was the son of the late Hedley and Dora May (Whitehead) Jones. Mr. Jones was a farmer, and later before his retirement he worked at the Kingsclear Training Centre as a gardener. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Carmen R. (MacDonald) Jones; a stepson, Bryan Crouse of Burtt's Corner; grandchildren Krista Gilbert and Edward Crouse; and great grandchildren Melissa and Reuben Gilbert. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM from York Manor's Friendship Centre, 100 Sunset Drive, Fredericton North. Peter G. Somerville, Director of Pastoral Care, York Manor will officiate, assisted by Rev. Dr. Amos Adeniyi. Interment will take place at a later date in the Staples Settlement Cemetery. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, remembrances to York Manor would be appreciated by the family.
