BEESLEY, REV. RAYMOND A. Reverend Raymond Alfred Beesley of Riverbank, NB passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 15, 2002. Born on June 14, 1927 a son of the late Joseph B. and Lillie (Linton) Beesley. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Eleanor P. (Roberts) Beesley, a son, Reverend Joseph W. Beesley and his wife Colleen of Fredericton, grandchildren; Julie Jewett, Rachael Muscroft (Mark), Justin and Marcus. His great grandchildren; Brittany, Tyler and Dylan, brothers; Paul (Patsy) Beesley of Saint John and Dr. Ralph (Eleanor) Beesley of Salem Virginia, several nieces and nephews. Raymond was predeceased by his sister Alice Moore and brothers; Harold, Kenneth, Hartley and Norman. Reverend Beesley was ordained in 1953 and was an active pastor for 45 years. He pastored in Hoyt, St. Stephen, Saint John and came to Sussex in 1963 to pastor at Calvary Pentecostal Church for the next 34 years. He served in various capacities of leadership with the United Pentecostal Church Atlantic District, which included 20 years as the District Superintendent. Arrangements are in the care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506433-2133). The family will receive visitors at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 384 St. George Street, Sussex on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church on Friday April 19, 2002 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Derek Rymarchuk and Reverend Albert Price officiating.
