WINSTON CHURCHILL SMITH

SMITH, WINSTON CHURCHILL The passing of Winston Churchill Smith of Sarnia, Ontario, occurred unexpectedly Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Bluewater Health Continuing Care Center. "Smitty" or "Lou" was born January 1, 1942 in Fredericton, NB. Prior to moving to Sarnia in 1966 he served in the Navy. Trucking was a major part of Winston's career taking him to many places throughout North Amercia. Winston is survived by his companion, Beverley Stratton of Sarnia. Also surviving are the four sons of Winston and Linda (Graves) of Sarnia. Tim (Fiorenza) of Atlanta, Ga, David of Toronto, On, Lorne and Bill both of Sarnia. Four grandchildren Christiana and Daniel, children of Tim and Darian and Jenna children of Lorne. Survived by one brother, Everett (Carol) Smith of Chester, England; four sisters, Donna (Alan) Marentette of Burlington, On; Patricia (Allen) Graves of Sarnia,On; Annette Kaminsky of San Francisco Ca; and Lynn Kovacs of Fredericton, NB. Winston is predeceased by his parents Louis and Genevieve (Donovan) Smith and one sister Peggy Anderson. Uncle Winnie will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line in Sarnia, N7T 7H2 on Thursday, October 14, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be said at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Palliative Care, Bluewater Health Continuing Care Center or to the charity of the donor's choice.
