HAYWARD, LLOYD EDWARD The death of Lloyd Edward Hayward, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Norma (Daley) Hayward, occurred on October 19, 2005 at the Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton, NB. Born on June 20, 1917 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late Bruce and Margaret (Simmonds) Hayward. Lloyd retired as a Commissionaire. He was formerly employed by the Provincial Government. He was a member of Marysville United Baptist Church and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15, Maryville, NB. Lloyd served overseas for five years during the 2nd World War. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Brenda McAleer (Purney) of Boiestown, NB and Linda Clarke (Bev) of Dartmouth, NS; one step-son, Ken Ryan of Marysville, NB; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Hayward (Joan) of Ontario. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his grandson, Jeremy Munn; two sisters, Helen Randall and Dorothy Currie and two brothers, Victor and Ralph Hayward. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15, Marysville, will conduct a Legion Tribute Service at the Funeral Home, Friday evening at 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 4:30 pm with Rev. David DuBois officiating. Reception to be held in York Funeral Home's Fireside Room with Interment to follow at Marysville United Baptist Cemetery Extension. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Veteran's Health Unit, Fredericton, NB would be appreciated by the family.
