CAMERON, DONALD LEONARD "DUCKY" The passing of Donald Leonard "Ducky" Cameron, husband of Hallie (Black) Cameron, of Barker's Point, NB occurred on February 8, 2009 at the York Manor Nursing Home in Fredericton. Born on March 25, 1942, Don was the son of the late Harry and Ada (Davidson) Cameron. Don worked at NB Power for 35 years. He spent many years playing hockey and baseball and was also was proud of the baseball teams he coached. He was a member of the Fredericton Sports Wall of Fame, NB Softball Wall of Fame, the Alexandria Lodge #33 F and A.M. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially times spent at the camp on the Miramichi. He loved gardening, hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Don is survived by two children, Donnie Todd (Angela) and Denise (Andy) Cameron Scott, both of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Josh, Kaleigh and Noah; two aunts, Jessie Hamilton (Cecil) and Evelyn Davidson; several cousins. Don was predeceased by uncle Douglas Cameron (Marjorie) and special uncle James Davidson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm. A Graveside Service will take place at a later date in Sunny Bank Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Boyd Vincent. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
