HAYWARD, HELEN NORMA The passing of Helen "Norma" (Daley) Hayward, wife of the late Lloyd Hayward, occurred on July 24, 2009 at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi, NB. Born in Fredericton on January 29, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Loring and Winnifred (Morgan) Daley. Norma had worked for Canadian Cottons and the Victoria Public Hospital before retiring from the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was an active member of the Marysville United Baptist Church, the Missionary Society and the Ladies' Morning Out Group. Norma is survived by her two daughters, Brenda McAleer (Purney) of Miramichi, NB and Linda Clark (Bev) of Dartmouth, NS; one son Ken Ryan (Marie) of Fredericton, NB; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Norma was predeceased by her brother, Osborne Daley and one grandchild, Jeremy. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from Marysville United Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. David Dubois officiating. Pallbearers will be Geoffrey Steeves, Henry Wilson, Richard Tucker, James Dillon, Russell Hoar and Eric Estey. Interment will take place at Marysville United Baptist Church Cemetery Extension. A reception will follow in the church hall. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or to a charity of the donors' choice.
