HUNTER, IDA JANET The passing of Ida Janet Hunter of Durham Bridge, NB, wife of Bert Hunter, occurred on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 4, 1943 in Nashwaak Bridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Melbourne and Vera (Shanks) Dickeson. In addition to her husband, Ida is survived by her children, Jeffrey Hunter (Lisa) of Dartmouth, NS, Tanya Cormier (Joe) of Noonan, NB and Jarrett Hunter of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Myles, Emily, Cody and Joey; great grandson, Rome; sisters, Gertrude Gregory (Gerald) of Toronto, ON and Faye O'Donnell of Astle, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ida was predeceased by her son, Darren; sister, Agnes MacKay and brother, Edgar Dickeson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis. Reception will follow in the Fireside Room. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
