MATTHEWS, MRS. NANCY - The death of Mrs. Nancy M. Matthews of 27 Ann St., widow of Ronald H. Matthews, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 23, 2002. Mrs. Matthews was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth (Ricketts) Dickey. She graduated from Saint John High School in 1955 and the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She had worked as a registered nurse at the Saint John General Hospital. She is survived by one son, Geoff (Nancy) of Darling's Island; one daughter, Tanya S. E. Matthews of Dartmouth; one son-in-law, Dean Hartman of Dartmouth; one grandson, Riley Matthews of Darling's Island; and two step-granddaughters, Andrea and Suzanne Hartman, both of Dartmouth. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Service will be conducted at St. James Anglican Church, Lakewood, on Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
