INA ISABEL MAY CROWDIS

CROWDIS, INA ISABEL MAY - Ina Isabel May Crowdis, 86, of Saint John, NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 27th, 2006 with her daughter Patricia by her side. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia she was the daughter of Annie (MacEachern) and Leander Ripley. She was a long time employee of Sears in Sydney and lived for some years at Northwood Manor in Halifax and Carleton Kirk Seniors Complex in Saint John. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church in Sydney and was involved in the choir and UCW for many years. She loved to spend her summers in her cottage on the Mira River with her family. She is survived by her son, Gerald (Esther); and daughter, Patricia (Patrick Barrett); brother, Lewis (Bertha); sisters, Ruby (Doug Goldstrand) and Lois Bobyk. She was predeceased by her husband, George Crowdis; her brothers, Ross, Roy, Ronald, Ben; and a sister, Eileen. She was also predeceased by her son, James (Ruth); and daughter, Eileen. Ina was a loving grandmother to John (Sarah Fanning), David, Kim (Mike Dale) and Shauna Dugas. She took special joy in her great grandchildren, Craig and Amanda Dale and Megan Fanning-Crowdis. Arrangements entrusted with Castle Funeral Homes, Fallsview Chapel 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date in Cape Breton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ina may be made to the Heart and stroke Foundation or the Choir Fund at St. Andrew's United Church in Sydney.
