
EVELYN S. BOUDREAU
BOUDREAU, EVELYN S. - Evelyn Boudreau, or Evie as she was known to family and friends, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 29th, 2009. Born on Nov.16th, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Judith (Robichaud) Boudreau. Evelyn graduated from Saint Vincent's High School and Modern Business College and worked in administration for Beatty Bros. and C.A. Monroe until her retirement in 1989. Evelyn is survived by sisters, Rita Nadeau (Leo) of Enfield, Conn. and Ann Kilfoil (Kevin) Sussex: Brothers James (Arlene); Saint John, Len (Joan), Bloomfield and her sister-in-law Edith Boudreau, Miramichi; 10 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Doris, brother Wally, nephew Pierre Boudreau, and sister-in-law Louise Boudreau. Evie liked doing crossword puzzles and always had a craft project or book in her hands. Her specialty was knitting and crocheting. Generations of family members were recipients of the beautiful sweaters, socks, mittens and afghans created by her. Her nieces and great nieces had the best dressed Barbie's in the neighborhood thanks to her doll dress-making skills. An avid reader, she kept well informed of local, national and world affairs. Proud of her family heritage, Evelyn was extremely kind and generous to her friends, neighbors and relatives who will greatly miss her. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday 7 to 9 pm and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Church on Tuesday February 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Interment take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in the spring.
