Fernand Dubois 1929 - 2002 Mr. Fernand Dubois, 72, of Boishebert Street Dieppe, passed away Thursday March 21, 2002. Born in Drummondville, PQ, he was the son of the late Telesphore and the late Marceline (nee: Rocheleau) Dubois. Mr. Dubois retired from the RCMP, having served in the J Division in the northern part of New Brunswick from 1952-1965 and from 1965-1989 in the J Division out of the Moncton detachment. During his 38 year career he received several awards; in 1971 a 20 year (LSM) Long Service Medal, in 1976 a 25 year LSM Bronze Clasp, in 1981 a 30 year LSM Silver Clasp and in 1986 a 35 year LSM 3 Star Gold Clasp. He is survived by his wife Huberte (nee: Melanson); three daughters, Linda, Suzanne and Jacqueline all of Halifax; two sons, Michel of Woodstock, NB and Roger of Dieppe as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Dubois was predeceased by one sister Jeannette and also by six brothers, Josephat, Maurice, Ovila, Leo, Patrick and Gerard. Private family visitation was held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Monday March 25, 2002 at 11:00 am with interment in the Parish Cemetery. The family would like to invite you to join in a reception following the funeral at the Beausejour Curling Club (65 Essex St. corner of Lockhart Ave.) to share in the memories of a man who touched so many.
