Donald BartonWoodard 1928 - 2003 STONEY CREEK, NB - Donald Barton Woodard, 75, of Stoney Creek passed away peacefully on April 11, 2003 at The Moncton City Hospital. He was born in Moncton on January 1, 1928, the son of the late John and Jenny Woodard. He was a mechanic and truck driver. He also owned and operated D & B Salvage from his home and was known throughout the county. Above all things Don was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family very much and was very proud of them all. He also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed many good laughs with his family and many friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lois (Smith) Woodard; his four daughters, Shirley Priest (David) of Albert Mines, Donna Trites (David) of Saint John, Mary Reynolds of Hillsborough, and Linda Hebert (Darrel) of Moncton; one son, Barton Woodard (Ulla) of Ontario; his beloved twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Hessom of Ontario, Elva Chase of Moncton and Agnes Woodard of Montreal; two brothers, Ralph Woodard of Quebec and Henry Woodard of PEI. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Herbert, Robert, Edward, Rayworth and Sydney. The remains will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on March 14th from 12pm until the time of the funeral service at 2pm. The funeral will be held from the Albert County Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2003 at 2pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. Internment will be in the Stoney Creek Cemetery, Stoney Creek at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
