Sydney Vernon \"Syd\" Bennett, peacefully, with his family by his side on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Ian Anderson House, in Oakville at the age of 73. Loving husband of Claudia for 46 years. Beloved father of Cheryl and her husband Colin Teague and David and his wife Pamela. Proud grandfather of Matthew and Sarah. Dear brother of Bernice \"Nenee\", Joan, Doris, Linda, Catherine (deceased), Wallace, John and Richard (deceased) all of New Brunswick. Sydney was a long time retired employee of the Ford Motor Company, in Oakville.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Sydney\'s Life will be held at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (at Dundas) on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. Inurnment to take place at Bayview Cemetery in New Brunswick at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ian Anderson House would be appreciated by the family.
