Crossman Mitton
Family and friends of the late Hazel Marjorie (Card) Crossman Mitton gathered at Campbell’s Funeral Home in Sackville, N.B. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. to celebrate her life and mourn her passing.
Pastor Terry Branscombe officiated and read various scripture sentences. Hazel’s granddaughter Andrea Phinney read a poem entitled Old Mothers. Granddaughter-in-law Ada Phinney gave a eulogy in memory of Hazel and spoke of her wonderful life and her devotion to her family and friends.
Organist Barbara McKay accompanied soloist Joyce Estabrooks in the singing of the hymns, Haven Of Rest, Goodnight and Good Morning and At The End Of The Road.
Pallbearers were grandsons Anthony Phinney and Andrew Phinney, nephew Peter Steeves, and friends Carl Mills, Ernie Partridge and Chester Estabrooks.
A time of fellowship and remembrance was held following the service at Campbell’s Funeral Home, with refreshments provided by the Midgic Baptist Church Ladies.
Burial will take place in the spring in the Sackville Cemetery.
Many memorial donations were given in memory of Hazel.
She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
