MORGAN, Otis Earl - 72, Somerset, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at home. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late Edward L. and Bessie E. (Ellis) Morgan. Otis had served in the West Nova Scotia Regiment, and had worked as a cook on many ships. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch # 69, Berwick, and Christ Anglican Church, Berwick. Surviving are his wife, Eva M. (Hibberts) Morgan, Somerset; children, David, Kentville; Kathy Ogilvie, Berwick; Bruce, Amherst; Philip (Angela), Springhill; John (Lisa), Amherst; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janet (Gerald) Laurie, Springhill; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Mildred M. Whitlock; brothers, William, Lester, Wilfred, and Clinton. There was no visitation at the funeral home. Royal Canadian Legion and Funeral service for Otis took place at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, February 22, in Christ Anglican Church, 238 Commercial St., Berwick. Rev. Charles Bull officiated, with Interment at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to any charity.
