Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 2, 2010, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Bertha M. Doiron, in her 91st year, went to her eternal rest. She was the wife of the late J. Aubin Doiron of St. Mary’s. Bertha was the beloved mother of Ron (Inez), Lorna Gaudin (Urbain), Wayne (Dianna), Pauline Cox (John), Fred (Marina), Carol Evans (Don), Irene MacLean (Ron), John (Helen) and Rick (Tracy); the grandmother of Stacey, Allison, Denise, Paula and Chad; Todd and Lisa; Leanne, Kori and Dallas; Nan, Paul, Phillip and Charlene; Vanessa, Collette, Lori and Carla Anne; Darrell and Curt; Raelynn and Roxanne; Khristine and Riley; and Sarah and Tai; and great-grandmother of twenty-six. Bertha is also survived by brother, Howard (Mary) Rogers; and sisters-in-law, Rita, Marjorie and Therese. She was predeceased by her parents, Edmund Rust and Loretta Stacey and her stepfather Bob Rogers; her husband, J. Aubin Doiron; son, Allison; daughter, Marilyn; brother, Ben; sisters-in-law, Dena (Francis) and Edith (Gerald); and brothers-in-law, Ray, Art (Pat) and Dick. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, March 5, 2010, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service at the Funeral Home at 6:45 on Friday. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the CNIB or to St. Anne’s Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
