The death of Edith Augusta (nee Sloat) Reed, wife of the late Charles C. Reed occurred at the York Manor Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 10th, 2010. Born in Crocks Point, NB, daughter of the late Albert Goodridge and Luly Ann (nee Lunt) Sloat. Edith was a member of All Saints Anglican Church in McKeen's Corner; The A.C.W.; the Orange Lodge #33; and the York Sunbury P.C. Association. Edith is survived by one son, Charles A. Reed (Marsha) of Keswick Ridge, NB, one step-son, George R. Reed (Marjorie) of Scotch Settlement, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Sloat (Ruby) of Crocks Point, NB and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles, her parents and two sisters, Mildred Dunphy and Susie Gilmore; one brother, Albert Sloat
There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will take place at The All Saints Anglican Church, McKeen's Corner on Saturday, March 13th, 2010 at 2:00 PM with The Ven. John Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
