Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, after a long and courageous battle following a motor vehicle accident. Bob was born on September 12, 1951, in Placentia, NL. He was predeceased by his father Peter Power and leaves to mourn with loving memories his mother Josephine Power; son Colin (Laura); daughter Allyson (Josh) and their mother Jeanne Power. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Maureen (John) Gillespie, Betty (Guy) Dutil, Rose (Jim) Huddy, Paula Power (Ed O’Brien), Joanne Power (Alex Fraser); brothers: Peter (Jen) and David (Laura); very special friend Barbara Byrne; and a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thanks to all the wonderful ICU nurses and doctors at the HSC, especially Pat Rogers, the staff at the Miller Center and his homecare workers. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held from St. Patrick’s Church on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Health Care Foundation Dialysis Units. Please visit www.barretts.ca to sign the memorial guest book.
