KYNOCK, Glendon Russell "Glen" — 71, Three Mile Plains, Hants Co., passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Canning, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Ralph and Lillian (Spinney) Kynock. Glen was a former member of the RCAF. He was former owner of Tandem Fuels Ltd. and Lee's Taxi. A Diesel Mechanic and Safety Inspector, Glen worked for Forbes Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, Dartmouth. In 1976, Glen went on to own and operate Kynock Auto Repair, working first with sons, Martin and Eugene (now known as Kynock's Auto and Small Engine Repair, Three Mile Plains). He was a friend of Bill W. for 30 years, enjoyed gardening and traveling overseas as well as throughout Canada. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, the former Dolores A. Hatfield; daughter, Debra (John) Legge, Mount Uniacke; sons, Martin (Irma), Windsor; Eugene (Deanna), Three Mile Plains; Randy (Kelley), Mantua; sister, Margaret (Larry) Ball, Orillia, Ont.; grandchildren, Kristin (Ben) and Karin (Charles) Kynock, Calgary; Kevin Kynock, Windsor; Wayne and Caitlin Kynock, Mantua; Payton Legge, Mount Uniacke; step-grandson, Josh Seaboyer, Three Mile Plains; and great-granddaughter, Karissa Kynock; also several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by infant daughter, Margaret Marlene (Vancouver, B.C.); brother, Frederick, and sister, Judith. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lohnes - DeMont Funeral Service Ltd., 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the family received visitors Friday, March 5, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, in Windsor United Church, 613 King St., Windsor, with Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. Private family interment was held in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, with a reception following in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre. Family flowers only, were by request. Donations in memory of Glen may be made to Palliative Care Unit at Hants Community Hospital, 89 Payzant Dr., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0; Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley - West Hants Branch, 89 Payzant Dr., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or a charity of one's choice.
