1920 - 2010 - Moncton- James (Jim) Joseph Evans, 90, of 85 Foundry St. passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday, March 15th, 2010 after a brief illness. Born in Bouctouche on March 9th, 1920, he was the son of the late Lillian (Noonan) and David Evans. He will be sadly missed by his only daughter, Lillian (Robert) Surette, and his granddaughter, Melanie and several nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his wife Amanda (Williams) in 1981 and a brother, William.
By James’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Paroisse Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church, 854 Mountain Rd. on Monday, March 22nd at 11am. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
