Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Palliative Care Unit on March 17, 2010 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband Eddie in 1995, son Clifford and grandchildren Kelly and Jimmy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are children June (Hiram) Goodyear, Barrie (Trudy) of Alberta, and Lorraine (Keith) Pitts of Alberta; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Anne Marie of Corner Brook, as well as many neighbours, relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Centre for the support and care over the past couple of days. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral service will be held from George Street United Church on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Josephine’s memory may be made to The Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.
