Surrounded by her family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, March 19, 2010 of Ruth Mary Callaghan (nee Toombs) of Charlottetown, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Benedict Callaghan. Dear mother of Mike (Marg), Mary Lou, Patrick (Nancy), Fr. Philip, Bill (Marg), Joeanne, Peter (Ann) and adopted son Fr. Robert McNeil. Remembered by her grandchildren Michael, Chantal, Jamie, Lynn, Jeff, Matthew, Spencer, Doug, Jodie, Stephanie, Sean, Ryan and Bryn and her great grandchildren Kate, Scott, Marin, Peter, Mylène, Claudia, Shiloh, Isaiah, Drew, Jorgia, Jill and Norah. She was predeceased by her parents Harry Toombs and Lena Duffy and by her brothers Everett, Bill and Eric Toombs. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Sunday, March 21, 2-5 p.m. (Only). Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 22, at St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
