The death of Ilse Melton of Oromocto occurred on March 20th, 2010 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born May 24th, 1933 in Lippstadt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Betty Henkemeir and wife to the late Frank J. Melton. Ilse was generous to all those around her, she loved a good joke and when something struck her as funny, her laughter could be heard above all else. Those who knew her will always remember sitting around the table listening to her WWII experiences of dashing for cover in the bunkers with the sirens and sounds of war going off around her. She will be missed by her daughters, Cindy Miller (Doug) of Waasis, NB and Melanie Melton (Chris) of Kingston, ON; grandchildren, Amanda Miller (JC Doucet), Michael Miller (Lindsay), Hanna White and Christopher White; great-grandchild, Raeleigh Miller and one sister Heidi of Germany.
There will be no visitation or service by request. Interment will be beside her husband at the Beechwood Cemetery in Ontario.
