It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy May Maynard announce her passing on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010 at the Bonne Bay Hospital in her 83rd year. She will be sadly missed by her loving family: children Ken (Joyce) Maynard of Stephenville, Angus (Greta) Maynard of Fort McMurray, Lovetta Reid of Norris Point and Alfred (Connie) Maynard of Corner Brook, a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her brother Russell Decker of Pasadena and sister Debbie Laing of Rocky Harbour; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Sidney, daughter Lorraine, son-in-law Sam, parents George and Sarah Decker, brothers: George, Lionel, Bill and Jim. A service will take place at the Anglican Church Cemetery in Rocky Harbour on Thursday at 2:00pm. with Rev. John Olsson officiating.
