Curtis Curwin, 80, of Chênes de Mambré Residence and formerly of Donald St., Shediac passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Sunday, March 28, 2010 following a lengthy illness. Born July 22, 1929 in Rexton, N.B., he was the son of the late Millgan and Lillian (Long) Curwin. He was employed at Cape Bald Packers prior to his retirement and attended Trinity United Church, Shediac. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 33 years, Phyllis (Goguen) Curwin of Shediac, one step-daughter Diane Haggland (Ronald) of Thunderbay, ON, six step-sons: Arthur Brun (Lucie) of St. Antoine, Hubert Brun of Ottawa, ON, Clarence Brun (Alice) and Norbert Brun (Eva) both of Shediac, Edward Brun (Joanne) of Moncton, Paul Brun of Vancouver, B.C.; one sister Lois LeBlanc (late Blair) of Moncton, two brothers: Rufis Curwin (Annie) of Moncton and Harold Curwin (Evelyn) of Ontario; ten step-grandchildren, sixteen step-great grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Hazel Curwin, Mona Thompson and Doris Mitchell and by five brothers: Kenneth, Cecil, Lloyd, Ernest and Melvin Curwin.
Visitation on Tuesday, March 30th, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 31st, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with Reverend Doctor Douglas MacEachern officiating.
