It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maisie Brake announces her passing on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the age of 83 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons: Robert (Irene) of Corner Brook, Edmund ‘Ted’ (Wanda) of Fort McMurray; daughter: Betty Wheeler (Don) of Stephenville; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Gladys Myles (Wallace) of Corner Brook, Marion Nagle of Kitchener, ON, Linda Daniels (Vince) of Florida, Pearl Howley of Burlington, ON; brother: Bill Daniels (Hannah) of Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Brake; parents: Cyril and Thirza Daniels; sister: Ruby Power; brothers-in-law: Martin Nagle, Jim Power, Arthur Holwell, Mel Howley. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday, July 7, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 10 am – 12 noon. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 2 pm from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Main St. with Rev. Rice officiating. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
