Passed away Tuesday, April 6th, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Catherine Duffy, at the age of 69. Leaving to mourn: her husband, Laris; four children: Patricia Duffy (Wayne Stratton), Josephine Kervin, Richard Duffy and Marlene Duffy (Brent Wiseman); six grandchildren: Dale, Laverne, Kristina, Cathy, Devin and Jacqueline; two sisters: Georgina Imm (Floyd) and Barbara Barkhouse (Gerry); three brothers: Ralph Wayson (Elizabeth), William Wayson (Glenda) and Kevin Wayson (Betty); sister-in-law Maxine Wayson, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Eileen Wayson; brother, James and sisters: Margaret and Patricia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 8th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of The Sea Church, Benoits Cove, Father Bernard Buckle officiating, followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
