It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard Keating Sr. announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the age of 88 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Rita, four sons: Colin (Iona) Keating of Edmonton, Richard Keating of Edmonton, Glen Keating of Ottawa, Kenneth Keating (Melinda) of Stephenville, three daughters: Julia Keating-Brown (Gordon) of Ottawa, Terri Keating (Rosaire Cote) of Stephenville, Glenda Keating (Larry Hann) of St. John’s, one sister, Margaret McNeil of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Hynes) and James William Keating, son, Bill Keating and brothers, Hynes, Harold, Raymond, Cyril and sisters, Marion McDonald, Mildred Aubert, Moyia Keliher and Kathleen McIntosh. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, August 6th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with Interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to St. Stephen’s Parish Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated.
