Huntley Kenneth Turner- age 76 of Twin Rivers Park, Stellarton passed away April 8, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Marie Joseph he was a son of the late Howard S. and Alma F. (Lynds) Turner.
Huntley had been a resident of Stellarton since 1990 and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Branch No.28 Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton and the 55 plus club in New Glasgow. Huntley served in Egypt 1956-1957 peacekeeping, he then worked as a truck driver and at Hawker Siddley Ltd. from where he retired in 1978. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time in NFLD. His love was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years the former Anne Babin, Stellarton; daughter Lisa Anne Turner, New Glasgow; son Kenneth John (Laurie) Turner, Trenton; grandchildren Mikey, Riley and Cody; brother Elvin (Shirley), Marie Joseph; sister Marion Washington, Ottawa.
He was predeceased by brothers Lebert and Harlan, sister Mae Barkhouse.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Bill Rankin officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Huntley may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
