Daly, Dayna Allison Glenna (1971 - 2010) - The death of Dayna Daly, 38, of Jackson's Point, NS, occurred unexpectedly at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax on Thursday, April 8, 2010. Born in Moncton, Dayna was the daughter of Richard (Cathy) Daly of Shediac, and Wendy (nee Allen) (Carman Penny) Daly of Murray Harbor, PEI. Dayna was a graduate of Truro Teacher's College and worked for York Street Daycare for ten years. Dayna's pleasing personality touched many hearts, and she was always happy in her own heart up until the end. She enjoyed caring for her cats, and partner George and always loved children. She particularly loved her many walks on the beach at Jackson's Point where she had many friends. Dayna will be sadly missed by her mother, Wendy (Carman Penny) Daly; her father Richard (Cathy) Daly; her common-law husband George Brown; a brother, Martin of Moncton; many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dayna was predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Dayna's remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin (538-2241). A memorial service for Dayna will be held at the funeral home at 2 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2010. William Drysdale DLM officiating.
