On April 12, 2010, God called one of his special angels "home". Helen Darlene Boss (Tuppy), age 84, of Springhill passed away peacefully at the All Saints Hospital with her family by her side.



Helen was born in Springhill on February 5, 1926, to the late John and Lillian (Harrison) Smith. At the age of 16, she married Harold Prescott Boss and they have celebrated 67 years together. Helen had a genuine love of life, and for children of all ages, but her pride and joy was her daughter Dianne. She was a member of the Springhill Senior Citizens and enjoyed knitting, dancing, music, playing 45's and in her early years motorcycle riding. She was a fun-loving and very special wife, mom, sister, grandmother, and aunt who had a thoughtful and giving personality.



She will be sadly missed by her husband, Harold Boss; daughter, Dianne (Richard) Smith, Truro; brothers, Darrell (Edna) Smith, Roger (Janice) Smith and Wayne (Margaret) Smith all of Springhill, sister, Virginia (Eric) Doncaster, Brantford, Ontario; grandchildren, Daniel and Kristen Smith of Truro; great granddaughter, Peyton of Truro; goddaughter, Debbie Smith of Springhill; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street,Springhill, (902 597 2361) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday April 13, 2010 from 7-9 pm, and 1-2 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, with a funeral service at 2 pm. The Reverend Paul Berry officiating, burial to follow in Rodney Cemetery.
